FOUND! Female Bilbo Protective Dwarves
1. So I'm looking for an AU fic that takes places from the beginning of the book/movies where Bilbo is a female Hobbit. I think her name is still Bilbo. When Gandalf brings the dwarves to her home he never explicitly tells them Bilbo is female and he does his best to hide that fact as well. Somehow while they are staying in Bree for the night one of the dwarves finds out Bilbo is female. I think it's Oin, but it might have been Nori or Dori. Either way whichever dwarf it was gets their brother to help them protect Bilbo while also keeping her secret from the rest of the Company. I don't remember if this was a completed story or not, but I know it's at least a year old. Probably older.
-Found a similar one but not the specific one I was looking for: Song of Exile by TheWonderTwins has the dwarves not realizing Bilbo is female at first, though Bilbo tells Bofur while they are in Bree.
2. I'm looking for another female Bilbo fic. All I really remember is that the dwarves don't realize she is female and when she gets to Bree she runs into Primula who she tasks with getting her some root that stops her periods and Primula thinks that Bilbo is being kidnapped by the dwarves and worried that Bilbo wants the root (I think it was black root?) to prevent pregnancy is her "captors" rape her. So Primula runs back towards the Shire to get a rescue party.
- FOUND! So #1 & #2 are actually the same fic. It is Creatures of Middle Earth by Saint2Sinners and is a WIP.
3. I am also looking for any fics where Bilbo is female and the dwarves don't realize it until they are somewhere in the story past Bree. So from the Trolls onward.
