How to lure a hobbit into posting... :)

1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
"Looking awake and alive, good start!"

2. How much cash do you have on you?
Er, about £9 I think, i try to keep around a tenner in my purse but usually pay for things with my card.

3. What’s a word that rhymes with DOOR?
D'or - french for "of gold"

4. Favourite planet?
This one, oddly enough.

5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
My mum, cos not many people call me and I was likely in the shower at the time

6. What is your favourite ringtone on your phone?
The Who Won't Get Fooled Again, I don't change ringtones often so "favourite"' is a bit misleading, My old phone had GnR Sweet Child of Mine and the one before *that* had The Doors Light My Fire..

7. What shirt are you wearing?
White t-shirt, I only have white t-shirts right now, idiot-proof for chosing the days clothes :)

8. Do you label yourself?
I think everyone does, don't they? Pagan, bi, language geek - we all have our tribes we belong to or want to..

9. Name the brand of the shoes you’re currently wearing?
I'm nearly always barefoot especially now in the house at 1am!

10. Bright or dark room?
I prefer low light, mostly lamplight tho there's good light here in the study for the computer or if I'm drawing.

11. What do you think about the person who took this survey before you?
ganimede? He's a great friend and someone I enjoy hanging out with online (we'll meet up for that lunch one of these days too..)

12. What does your watch look like?
I don't currently have one, in the house somewhere is the Rotary I got one birthday and never really took to, my fave watch ever was a Russian submariners watch, one of those big bulky ones on the wide leather straps where the watch is on top of the strap rather than with the leather coming out of each side.. and yes I got it in Russia :)

13. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Watching telly, the latest episode of CSI I think.

14. What did your last text message you received on your mobile say?
"Yup! :-)"

15. Where is your nearest 7-11?
No clue as we don't have those..

Excellent. Also, bugger.

My lover :)

18. Last furry thing you touched?
The cat!

19. How many drugs have you done in the last three days?
None, unless you count prescription meds or coffee.. oh, or the lungful of secondhand skunk smoke I ended up inhaling in the cab the other week when some eedjit decided to give the driver a blowback and I was the next pick-up *growl* Stinks that stuff does :(

20. How many rolls of film do you need developed?
None, I changed to digital years ago

18 was pretty cool, starting university, making new friends, being independent, though 40 was unexpectedly groovy also :)

22. Your worst enemy?
No clue how to answer this, is it meant to be a person, a thing, a personal failing? My allergy to spices is a real pain, certainly but enemy? Hmm.

23. What is your current desktop picture?

I love camargue horses and this is a really atmospheric shot.. on  my old PC i stuck with the same image of yellow tulips on a grey slate background for years, and with the new pc had planned to change the picture more often but the horses just make me smile every time so they're kind of permanent.

24. What was the last thing you said to someone?
"Put it on the bathroom windowsill please.." (dad bringing my heavy pint glass I use for water at night back upstairs after a good go through the dishwasher)

25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly, what would it be?
Oh thats tricky. I think everyone dreams of flight, but a million bucks would buy a lot of airfares or even flying lessons in a plane... but then I could visit people so easily. But then again, its not very practical to fly oneself across the Pond with flapping arms... dreams or practicality (like that sum of money isn't a dream in itself...). The money I think, I could help so many folk out with that.

26. Do you like someone?
My lover :)

Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, The Green Manalishi

Jealousy is quite destructive.. I often envy people for varous things - their talents, their jobs, their relationships but nothing specific or longlasting, I have good things in my life too.

32. Is anyone jealous of you?
Maybe, I know some folk wish they had my positive outlook or some of my skills but they have cool things about them, everyone does.

33. Where were you when 9/11 happened?
Asleep.. my partner of the time woke me up to say a plane had crashed into the twin towers and we should put the news on. Half asleep I assumed it was just a light plane, so was shocked at was what was unfolding on screen..

34. What do you do when vending machines steal your money?
Swear.

Yes, sometimes overly so.

36. If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?
My right bicep.

37. If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
Ooh, all of them? As a linguist that's such a tempting idea.. hmm.. I think Mandarin because I can get by pretty well in a lot of European languages and that would give me an "in" into tonal languages as well as giving me access to thousands of years of literature.

38. Would you move for the person you loved?
Maybe.

39. Are you touchy feely?
Yes, I'm a very huggy person and respond well to cuddles, strokes, handholding and the like. Its very healing and healthy.
