Yay bouncing, been groggy all week so stayed in, chatted about dolls via email with a fellow obsessive, did some Italian, walkies, tai chi & generally rested. Yesterday it was grey & wet & I was still wobbly, slept a lot, but woke up this morning feeling fine so zoomed out into town by bus, the Rolling Stones playing on my smartphone & the sun shining.
I was planning to eat out but wasn't that hungry so once I got up to the leisure level of Liverpool One instead of heading to a restaurant I wandered around Chevasse Park, which had plenty of folk enjoying the sun, mainly wearing jackets and jumpers though, and gazed down at the river though traffic noise rather spoilt the effect. There's a promising looking Italian place, Prego, there, menu was enticing, and a pub, Tavern on the Green that could be good for hanging out with visitors, but I ended up just sitting on a wall enjoying the light & the fresh air.
I found my way around Liverpool One better too, discovered a handy lift and another escalator to save some walking, plus you can walk into John Lewis on the first floor so I did. Poked at the jewellery (and told two older ladies frowning at the prices where to find the cheap shiny shop *g*) then ended up in the craft/haberdashery bit. I'm glad I no longer knit, the better brands of yarn seem to have had a real price hike, ouch. But I found shiny, blue shiny in fact, strands of crystal beads to add to the "art" I'm creating with glass baubles in the den.
Starbucks cafe mocha was as tasty as ever but the shortbread I got to put me on was way too sweet, grr. Still, kept me going til I got home & could grab a late lunch.
Nice, gentle moochy day.
