Mad Scientist Suit Up!

But sadly I cannot watch it all night because I'm only on 47,763 words in MyNoWriMo, and I don't really have time to write tomorrow since I'm coming back to Durham for a week (yes, I could write on the train, but I'm always paranoid someone'll be reading over my shoulder) and I'd really prefer to get it all done tonight.
It was all going nice and smoothly, too. It was wrapping up to a neat, if a little dull, climax, that could easily be fixed in a redraft - which I think I'll end up doing, because I've actually fallen in love with the fictional universe and characters I've created, I may even do a sequel if I think of a good plot - but then my plot bunnies woke up.
They've been very well behaved so far. They didn't make any characters run off and completely derail the plot - well, they did one unplanned thing, but I'm working with it and it's not bad at all actually. But now, just as the perfectly reasonable little climax was working out and I thought I'd been done in 50,000 words - they've suddenly made one of the background secondary characters turn round and betray everyone.
So now I have ANOTHER mess to write my characters out of. Or, you know, leave a whole bunch of them to die, but that's really not the story I'm going for here.
So, late night for me.
PS: 49,213. Shattered, and going to bed. I still have tomorrow. I can plan how the hell I'm going to end this doohickey on the train and write it when I get there.
And then sort out the TT society accounts. Whoopdy-doo.
