Every single time someone talks about drinking or smoking she goes off on her little boohoo story about her family and brother. And if ANYONE dare tries saying anything back about the reality of it, she leaves the room. As seen here. Happens every single time.
fail. her name isn't bailey is it. haha. there was a girl in a chat i used to frequent who would do that. except she'd be all "BAWWW I'M SO SAD BAWW GONNA KILL MYSELF KTHXBAI" and all rping and chatting would stop so we could pay attention to her. frustrating. she pulled that stunt like, 5 times in a three month period. like. dude.
I'm just tired of the way she acts about all this. I think it's gotten really annoying. I didn't know if 'you all' had said anything to her about it, but I don't think I ever have earlier and I wanted her to see what I did say about it after she left. Posting this isn't meant to ruin a friendship, but if that ends up happening then wow.
I give her credit because it is VERY hard to be a non-smoker/drinker in a world where EVERYONE else does it. I don't want to smoke/drink, but sometimes I catch myself wanting to simply so I can be more normal and *ahem* give in to peer pressure. I totally understand the "no place for me" because it can be hard to have fun with people when the unspoken idea of fun is usually to go out, get a few drinks, and whatever else follows.
Despite all that, though, I think it is childish to expect that other people are going to quit their own habits (habits which include simply talking about smoking and drinking) because people are entitled to be themselves. So long as no one is trying to make her do what she doesn't want to do, she should be happy with the situation she's in!
So someone wants to write to her friends about her actual life problems and you go "wtf bitch shut up"? Because you've never complained about something in your life or wanted someone to talk to about your issues?
Wow.
Way to slap a friend in the face (if she is your friend, that is.)
Coming from an alcoholic family, yeah, it sucked, and sometimes I wanted to vent because it's GOOD to get that kind of thing out so you don't get consumed with family problems. I never really did -- but I don't blame her for wanting to, and for reaching out to people who she thinks will listen.
"It's annoying that she's preaching about alcohol and drugs." So? If your life and family sucked because of them, I can guarantee you that you'd be complaining too. Congratulations, you made someone (that probably has a worse life than you) feel shunned for trying to talk about her misfortunes. And you wonder why you don't have more friends.
