So I have finally listened to the new All Time Low CD..
"Nothing Personal". Many thanks to x_azriel_x for giving it to me.
And I have to say; I approve of it, but it's not their best. Nothing really stood out to me musically, nothing really made go "Ahh this is fun music! Omg that part was so cool! Love this!" Nope. Sorry. I love that feeling when something happens and I think it's the coolest piece of music ever, even if it's only 10 seconds long, and I got none of that. All the songs seem to sound the same. Going from one song to the next there was nothing special about it.
Plus in most of the CD, Alex doesn't sound like Alex singing. Unless he's just now continuing puberty and his voice is changing (hah) it just sounds too.. over produced? It's sounds fake. It sounds like they did everything to make the CD sound awesome and try to be their best piece of work with using all the technology they had, but it ruined the music. This CD reminds me of a really long version of their EP (to me eps in general are kinda.. 'let's just listen to music', nothing really omg worthy), but even their EP was better.
I have decided that my favourite tracks as of right now are "Weightless", "Sick Little Games", "Hello Brooklyn", and "Therapy". I will still keep my burnt copy in my car and listen to it when I feel the mood, but it won't be constantly playing like most of my music.
