LOL! Yes, well, I spent so long writing the latest chapter of "Thine Hatred To Crown" that I've got Thorin/Bard on the brain, so I thought I'd make another fandom contribution to this rare pairing. Since pretty much everybody else is too busy shipping Bard with Thranduil, lol. Granted, Thorin's interest in Bard here is most definitely one-sided, of the arranged marriage kind, Bard wanting nothing to do with his crazy...

Are you planning on keeping [Bilbo's] point of view or will you change to other people?

You don't think I'd pass up a chance to write a Bard POV of this, do you? No, of course not! The lengthiest middle section should be Bard's, then it's back to Bilbo, I think. As the only two sane men, lol, allowing Thorin, Thranduil, Gandalf, Dáin, etc. to keep their air of nutbar inscrutability. I'm very glad you found Bilbo's narration enjoyable; he's not a character I've written much of, and my prose on the whole tends to be a little too formal and ornate for Hobbits, I feel.

And we'll see how cracky this ends up! Per the OP, I am making a serious attempt to find some reason in Thorin's madness, lol, with my usual legendarium references (e.g. Fram, slayer of Scatha). The humor will be... very dry, as is my wont, and filled with fantasy legalese. Because you know that's hilarious. XD

Thanks for reading! Hopefully, I'll have another part for tomorrow. Updates should be faster than for my chaptered WIPs, though this fic is turning out longer than I expected, too.
