Listless
So...the hockey playoffs are over, at least for me. The Red Wings busted out in the first round AGAIN. How can the first place seed in the entire NHL, a team with so much talent and experience, go down in flames in such a sorry way? I don't have any answers, but all I can do is try and look forward to next season *sigh* and hope we do better!
Meanwhile, I got a big promotion at work, and so now more is expected and more has to be accomplished in a single day. I've worked my butt off my over two months, and tomorrow I am treating myself to a weekend in Laughlin Neveda, at a resort and casino. Good times! I just hope I don't lose my ass at the penny slots. It's soooo easy to do. I found out my brother is getting a divorce, and part of the reason is the $$ he's lost at the local casinos in downtown Detroit (he works RIGHT across the street). I guess the gambling bug runs in the family, luckily I seem to have a bit of self control, and haven't lost the condo yet! The kitties are still happy and well fed.
