Just Thought...
It's amazing how you get so used to having someone else around.
I'm sitting here, on the laptop, in my home, with the Christmas tree lit and the lights along the cabinets in the kitchen glowing softly.
Down the hallway, my wife, who is currently feeling fluish, and my daughter, are sleeping (or at least trying to).
The doors are locked, the blinds and curtains closed...
And yet I feel the need to have the TV playing (on mute) just to feel like something is happening, and like someone's in the room. I don't even watch TV. Seriously, I haven't sat and watched anything other than movies in ages... and the TV series' that I do "follow" (albeit quite irregularly), I follow online, so it's on my clock, and not the networks'. I don't even know what's playing right now--some game show. Who knows?
So I'm sitting here, blogging because I can't do dishes (it'll wake them up), and I can't play music (it'll wake them up)... maybe God's providing a chance to rest and catch up on some lost sleep.
