We got up around noon, ate and then went to explore an old tunnel in the middle of the woods off of Kearns Ave, something we woofed about doing the day before and in letters. The day was really nice, mid 70s, and today, more Dogs were out in their yards. One is an older Collie mix with a hoarse bark I see often on Kearns, but Hobnose has never met.

Next we went down Kearns, past the old house and cracked street, and got to the tunnel. The entrance is about 100 feet off of the street through an grown up field, down a small hill.

We visited this in 2004, but could only go so far in, because we didn't have flashlights at the time. We had wanted to come back with lights and explore it more, but there wasn't time then. This time we made good and brought some strong LED lights, and walked the length, maybe 200 feet in, to a point where the tunnel becomes a smaller pipe.

The tunnel floor is covered with slippery rocks, and a small stream of water was running through it, probably run-off from the hill above.

Next we took some pictures at the old house on Kearns we passed yesterday. Most everything is gone, and the place is trashed, but it was fun to explore in every room, and think about the past families that lived there, and how that soon, the house will be all gone when the bulldozers come.

We came home and shopped for food, Shop And Save, getting essentials like licorice all-sorts, a candy that Hobnose has to have when she is here, and other food.

I had some fireworks, and we decided to celebrate the Collie and Berger getting back together by shooting them off. We had a helicopter spinner, a fountain and a catherine wheel. We unwrapped the catherine wheel instead of nailing it to anything, and took it to the train tracks by the karate school at midnight.

We lit it in almost perfect darkness and it burned like a strong fuse, then went BANG with a bright flash. We didn't know that there was a report in it, and I barked I think I lost my sight and hearing as a joke, and we were laughing like crazy at the smoke that came out of it.

Next we came home and chatted with Ric on Messenger on two seperate computers in different rooms. That was cool, and I wasn't sure it would work woof, because Hob and me were on the same net connection.

We watched videos at Youtube and then went to sleep.
