There seems to be lots of interest in Furries by other media lately. There have been several local school documentaries in the works this year, including 'Fursonas' out of Point Park College in Pittsburgh, which is about fursuits and the personalities under the fur and behind the masks that you see. I've seen the private preview, watched it with

1. Were's, have an animal soul, and are close to their animal side, in most things they do, have a deeper understanding of them self's, shifts, spiritual stuff, can physical shift and etc.
2. Therian's, has an animal soul to, but seek a more of a balance between the animal soul and the human body/ half because of this they don't all ways get to the point some Were's can in some things, most all therian's have shifts of some type but never a physical shift, most don't believe in it.
3. Otherkin's, they too have both human like and non-human souls, stuff like dragons, demons, elf's, phoenix's, etc. And are spiritual in there believes of what they are. Some have some type of shifts, some don't, but never a physical shift.
4. Furry Lifestyler's, has an human soul, Lifestylers tend to identify more strongly than typical furries with their furry avatars, and often act out animalistic behaviors of them. Often this is coupled with a strong belief in an animal totem, and many lifestylers feel their avatar's spirit selected them instead of them selecting their avatar of choice. Fursuiting and other costuming are popular with lifestylers, as are verbalizations such as "murr" and "meef" that express their furriness. Furry Lifestyler's don't have shifts.
5. Furrys, has a human souls, and are just in the furry community for fun, fursuiting, role-playing, or etc. But there is some real animals in furry, because of the lack of openness in the Therian, Were, Otherkin communities allot of the newly awaken animals find the furry community because it so big and open. I have talked to / sensed an real animal spirit in a few furrys but because they fell into the furry community vs the Therian, Were, Otherkin communitys they picked up some odd habits and haven't grown spiritually. And rejected the ideas of spiritual help.
Were's, Therian's, or Otherkin's are all born this way and don't become it later in life. it's not a lifestyle choice. it's something you either are or not. You can't fight what your soul is and it shows
DO NOT EVEN CALL YOURSELF A WERE YOU ARE NOT. REMOVE IT FROM YOUR INDEX. You obviously have a very diluted sense of what things are. I am not a furry in any way. i don't wear a fursuit as it would be like being behind a 2nd mask. Until you understand what the differences are you won't go far. you are a furry lifestyler only. So please wise up and do more research. You don't know what its like in any way to be a were. Weres have shifts and you do not. acting like a dog and wearing the suit doesn't constitute a shift in any way shape or form. So please don't post things you have no idea about.
Thank you.

there since people will get the wrong ideas.
The stuff at boomerthedog.com was written way back in 1998, when I was new and young in the world of animal people
and didn't know what the difference was! I was on a Furry Lifestyle group then and it had some Weres that visited it, and
it seemed like I could be a Were, as a Were Dog, so that's why I put it together. Therians were barely talked about back
then, that was new and I thought it was almost the same as a Were, as having an animal soul.
See that page is kind of out of date, I didn't know hardly anything, and yet I was trying to bark it to others. I stuck it there
for history and have planned to open up a new site there and erase all of that but with other things going on I haven't
touched it forever. My real site right now is http://boomerthedog.net that has the absolutely latest stuff if you want to see
it, and I haven't written anything about the different types of animal people yet.
I am kind of fuzzy about what the different types are exactly, I've never seen a page that really explains it. It doesn't help
that people tell me that I'm a Were or Therian, and people who are Furries also have said that they're Were or Therians
too! I've heard Furrys say that they have experienced Mental Shifts when they wear their costumes, called a fursuit, and
it induces a mental shift, something I might have even had before in my Dog suit.
I've been a Dog from an early age, but I don't know that I was born with the soul of a Dog or not, there's no way I can
prove it. I just know that I desperately wanted to change into a Dog at one time after it hit me hard, somewhere around
when I was 13. I already played Dog before that so I had that connection, I just wasn't REALLY serious until I was 13,
and from what someone said I might have had a dream shift.
I'd like to bark to you more about it, if you can write to me, the address is at the bottom of http://boomerthedog.net , the
petsmartdoggie1 address. Maybe you can send me to some pages that talk about it. I have an idea, would you want to
write an article about the differences between animal people, and I'll post it at my site as a guest article with your name.
You seem to know a lot about it and your article would help a lot of people to know what they are. I'm serious, if you write
something like what you wrote above as an article I'll post it where everyone can see, and with your name on it. If you
have a site, let me know about that too and I'll check it out. I'd like to know what kind of a Were animal you are too.

kicking off my Doggishness, but did the movie make me a Dog, or did it touch off something that was already there?
That's a big question.
I do vocalize, I don't go murr as much except I might do it in text, but I do bark all the time throughout the day. I can howl
but I don't do it very much, just to sirens if I feel like letting loose a bit. I did sense that Therian wasn't as open, well I was
seriously trying to bark to a Wolf who was on a show called "What: I think I'm An Animal?" and we were both trying to
change our names, but he never got back to me.
As far as Furry Lifestylers, I mean I did choose to join the group, but the choice I didn't have was about being a Dog,
that's something that I just am, and I was before I ever knew about Lifestylers, and I just thought that Weres were
Werewolves only.
I think you could choose to join Furrys, wouldn't you want to have some fun and dress up as your animal? If you're a true
Were and this is in you, I can't see anything else you would do could take away anything from what you are. I like Furs
because it's fun, and at the end of the day I still know I'm a domestic Dog, Pyrenean Shepherd breed.
I was always so serious and brooding about it that when I found Furry, I was ready to let go and have some fun for a
change, and Furries know how to party. Write to me k thnx.
