2 runner v. catcher collisions
6 hit batters

I can't believe that they want to remove baseball from the Olympics.

I've seldom been more ashamed of people representing my country than when the second U.S. batter a drilled with a fastball in the head and the bench didn't cleared. There should have been blood making the infield grass grow after that.

I can't sign off on them fighting. The Americans started it by running through 2 catchers like that. I didn't see the game but 6 people were hit so it seems that the pitchers took care of what they had to take care of.

Running into the catcher is part of baseball, if they're going to cry over that they should have become gymnasts.

Those collisions were mean spirited. They put the first catcher out of the game (no telling how many weeks/months). The second one was not necessary. The ball was not there and there was plenty of room for a slide behind the catcher. All this in a run away game where China barely managed to get on the board.

The second one was absolutely necessary it was retaliation for the first time they beaned one of our batters. The answerer to violence in baseball is additional and escalated violence. If they want to cry over their catcher's skinned knee like a five year old, they should go play a five year old's game... you know ping pong, which is also an Olympic event for some unimaginable reason.

Whoa whoa whoa. I didn't see China crying. I thought that we went to far with the escalated violence.

When you play baseball, you consent to the possibility of catcher/runner collisions.

That is lawyer talk.
