Work Force

I think I should really update this thing more often, y'know?

Anyways. I started my new job today. It really feels good to be back in the work force, at the very least. I don't remember how much I explained about the new job in my last post, so here is an overview.

The restaurant is a small english-style pub, called Firkin & Bulldog, which is apparently part of the Firkin Pubs franchise, I think the website is www.firkin.com, but don't quote me on that as I am too lazy to check google to make sure. Anyways, it has a rather large bar, and two good sized seating sections. One good thing about the restaurant is that it is much like how a normal restaurant that lives in the 21st, or Hell, even 20th, century works. IE: It has a computer system for clocking in/out, putting in orders, ringing up bills, etc.

This is great news as when I worked at Jimmy's it was like working in the dark ages. Had to hand write everything, which caused problems with hand-writing. There was no clocking in or out which led to wage disputes, etc. Sorry, got off track.

There is english-style foods, which is funny due to the naming. It uses english names, stuff like fish and chips, bangers, beans and mash, etc. I think that I will be able to work well there, I will just need some time to learn how their particular system works, as it's been.. Years since I have used a computer system for making food orders, etc. Also learning the menu. But once I get those down I think I'll be fine.

Wish me luck.
