Seems about the right time for one of my bi-monthly posts, now that I have two weeks to BREATHE...
I can't express how nice this break is. Waking up and then being able to go back to sleep for several hours is such a nice feeling, because I don't remember the last time I haven't had to wake up for one thing or another. My schedule's really started filling up lately, between school, soccer, volunteering, and now it looks like I'm going to start performing for one of the church services on Sundays (which is kinda interesting seeing as I've never regularly gone to church :P). But like... I'm still suffering from that sad/angry feeling whenever I don't really have something planned for the day, so I honestly do prefer it this way and I'm actually not complaining.
Soccer season is.. rather mediocre. I've noticed that I've been improving as a player lately, which makes me really happy. But I realized this year that we're about the same as we were last year, except our defense is weaker, which actually probably has a lot to do with the fact that our sweeper, Deb, graduated last year. Deb and Maddie (another alumni) showed up to our past few games. Actually, I've been seeing quite a few alumni lately. Some showed up to our band concert, and then Kyle turned out tonight at Holly and Amber's last-minute party they had. I hate thinking about the fact that many seniors I know this year may just disappear off the face of the earth once they get to college, and that if I plan to go somewhere other than UF, the same thing may very well happen to a lot of the people that I know in my OWN class...
Plans for break include visiting family in South Carolina for a couple of days (Dad and I leave Christmas day). Then I think we're going to come back for a day, and possibly after that visiting Peru. But nothing's definite, as is usual with travel plans in my family. So this sleeping for as long as I like deal isn't evidently going to hold out for too much longer :P Course, it's worth it.
