I have read several times that 7-8 hours of sleep is necessary for a normal adult. The whole function normally, good fro your health thing I suppose.
Well I have been bucking the system folks. I have myself down to 5 hours solid sleep during the week with a 15-30 minute power nap when I get home from work. This has definitely taken some getting use to, but it is allowing me to get more done. I do sleep longer on the weekends, maybe 8 hours. What I have found is if I sleep longer then 8 hours, I wake up feeling like a big ball of shit. I literally feel like I went on a all night bender of whiskey, cigarettes and breakfast buffets. So something has changed.
Yesterday the whole thing collapsed. I came home from work, grabbed the latest issue of Home Machine Shop and passed out promptly 10 minutes later. I awoke to my alarm clock signaling it was time to go to work. Maybe after three months of this, I finally crashed. Though I feel great today and have no plans to change what I have been doing for the last three months.
Anybody else tried this or something similar? What were your results?
