The filk history book that
madfilkentist is working on is currently in its last week of funding. (Ends in a few days.)
He is about 78% of the way there. He has posted a 3rd sample chapter (in addition to the two previous he shared when the fundraising started.)
The 3rd sample chapter covers from 1979 thru 1988 from Filkcon 1 to the disintegration of Off Centaur.
http://www.mcgath.com/tst/ConsAndRecordings_16092014.pdf I have contributed a number of digital scans to the source material for Madfilkentist and am continuing to scan my collection. (So far, he has gotten a full set of "PFen" and "The Filking Times". I have a number (not a complete set) of Kantele and a few Philk Philly Phlashes on hand and have arranged to borrow a number of Apa-Filks to contribute to the source materials for the history book.
I really want to see this free book funded and from the little he has shared so far, its been very interesting.
