Guys, I booked my Loncon hostel.

Weeks late, so it's nowhere near the con site (it's somewhere near Canary Wharf instead), but the good thing about that is that it's actually pretty fucking cheap (and probably horrible, but never mind that, I'll be at the con all day anyway ( Read more... )

How early do you have to get up on Friday? ;-) That is to say: might a late dinner on Thursday work for you? The last programme item I somewhat urgently want to see ends at nine in the evening. I'll be at the ExCel/London Convention Centre (Docklands), so maybe we could meet after that, perhaps somewhere near there so as to save time, and have dinner together? I don't know anything about the culinary situation there, though.

Alternatively, if your being free on Thursday means you're free all day - how about a breakfast date? The first programme item I really want to see starts at 11 a.m... (that one I'd really rather like to catch completely, though. It's about the topic of my failed Ph.D. project, more or less, *lolsob*.) And I'll probably have lunch at 2 p.m. but will have to be back at the con at 3 p.m. sharp because of a program item that's incredibly relevant to my "big" writing project.

Saturday might also work - I haven't checked the programme yet and am too tired (again) to do so now; even checking Thursday's just now was kind of exhausting. I *might* be meeting another friend on that Saturday, though (yes, she's a Rebecca, too, *of course* :D), which would narrow down the choice of available timeslots - also, the program is a lot more packed on that day, and unlikely to yield more than a one-hour slot anywhere. So Thursday seems more practical.
