Isn't it amazing how time flies? Today is September 27th, where did this month go? In the blink of an eye it is going to be Christmas, and then New Year!! It is also amazing how much can change in such a little amount of time. Six months ago I was heading in a totally different direction, and now... wow. I really like where my life is headed.
This weekend was the break I needed. Paula and I had originally made plans to go to Chicago, but it was going to cost us too much money. So instead we decided to stay home. Thus I had 4 complete days off. Paula and I decided that since we weren't going to Chicago we should throw a party. We had a ton of people here, but thankfully not as many as we invited. There was a little bit of drama, but that is to be expected when you mix people with alcohol. I decided it was time to sober up when a bunch of guys showed up to my apartment and decided to start throwing cheese puffs and M & M's across the room. Don't I know some mature people? What pissed me off even more was when I addressed the issue a certain individual purpousely threw a cheese puff on the floor! A total of three people puked at our party, but only one of them made it to the bathroom. The other two puked off my balcony, and in the middle of my living room. Lucky for me, because I a nurse, I was on clean up duty. I spent the rest of the evening chatting with Andrea, and Todd before crashing at 5 am.
Saturday I was up at 9 am, after only 4 hours of sleep. There was red jungle juice and orange M & M's stains in my carpet, empties everywhere, and someone trying to puke in Paula's bathroom. Why do we throw parties? Luckily I wasn't hung over, so as the remainder of the people left Paula and I managed to clean up pretty quickly. Then I got ready and headed to Jenni's house to go to the cider mill. Nothing like warm doughnuts, and fresh cider. I hung out with Jenni and Jason for a little while, before heading home and taking a quick nap. Saturday night I went out to a party with Veronica, but we were both pretty pooped, so we were home and in bed by 1 am.
Sunday I got up went to church, watched the Lions get the crap kicked out of them, hung out with my family, and went and saw a movie. I've pretty much been in a relationship funk, so there hasn't been any romance in my life in a long time. So to try and make up for that Paula and I went and saw a romantic comedy. We saw First Daughter, can we say rip off! The plot was the same as that of Chasing Liberty, only with a really crappy ending! So needless to say it didn't help.
Today was my last day off, and I didn't really do much. I went and saw my friend's new house in Clinton Township. Talk about a trip down memory lane. We went shopping, and I thought it was ironic that the only thing we bought were clothes for work. Then I came home and sat on my ass, and that was about my day. Tomorrow it is back to work for me, and I'm hoping it isn't too crazy. I can't wait for my next day off!!
