Story: Sometimes, it Takes a Fox
Chris watched Ezra on the video screen. From the way he'd acted when they'd placed him in the holding cell, Chris had expected him to be near his breaking point by now. Somehow, though, the little guy had defied all expectations. He'd lay back on the cot and stared at the ceiling for nearly an hour before his eyes slipped shut.
"What's he doing?" William asked, without bothering to look up from his comic book.
Releasing an explosive breath, Chris turned to his companion. "I think he's sleeping," he said. His brows twitched. People were not meant to sleep so peacefully while in Agency lockup.
