Check it out, Michigainers: The Whistle Pigs will be in Detroit TWO DAYS FROM NOW at the Painted Lady on THURSDAY, Aug. 5, and in Ann Arbor at the Cavern Club on Wednesday, Sept. 15. Both shows start around ten-ish, it looks like. They will hug on ya & sing you the Happy Birthday song if you tell them you know me. Banjo Joe loves me. It's a true fact.
Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three (with the crushalicious Ryan Koenig!!! LOVE!!!!) will be in West Ashling, in the UK, on Friday, August 13, 2010 2:00 pm at the West Ashling Village Hall! They just played the Newport Folk Festival, and you can download the MP3 of the show. They've got lots of other UK dates coming up, too! Like Pullborough, Topsham, and other places that I have no idea where they are.
