Different anon, but I don't see the point in joining a game with false memories if you're just going to manipulate them with canon partners. That sort of defeats the purpose imo

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by that. Hidan is the only one from his canon with whom his false memories give him past CR. The other people he's familiar with through his false memories include the entire police force (Vargret, Yaha, Tonks, Seras, etc.) and now Yosuke, who's just arrived but is being written in as an old friend.

The fake memories you gave him reek of "I just want hot OOC pseudo-incesty buttsex" and the fact that you seem to think it's logical or realistic is troubling.

What's the point in playing a character if they're absolutely nothing like the character they're based on? I've read your threads because I thought you had cool icons and I got intrigued, but all I found was some guy with the name Shikamaru who complains sometimes. He bore no resemblance to the character in the series.

All I could suggest is a liberal review of canon and to knock off the head canon, because it's embarrassing. Keep that stuff to fanfic. There's just too much wrong with him to point to one thing and say "no".

Er, I'm not sure where you got that impression based on his false memories, which basically only say that Hidan was adopted into his family when he was a young child. I won't deny that there's sexual tension in their interactions, but am I failing to display the immense discomfort that Shikamaru feels at Hidan's treatment of him? He isn't exactly head-over-heels for the guy, even though Hidan is constantly rescuing him from bad situations. When he admits that he has any love for his brother at all, he means it in a brotherly sense. Lately, though, it's rare to get that much admission from him, as Hidan has started on the whole 'bad guy' route.

That aside, he isn't complaining enough? I was worried he complained too much, but I have no problem kicking up his bitching a few notches. Someone else mentioned to me a while ago that he was too whiny and wimpy. I probably toned him down too much.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I've been watching the latest arc of the anime but there's no such thing as too much canon review.
