OK for starters oh man all of Edgeworth's best friends are complete losers. To a man, more loyalty than smarts--even Phoenix, who is a pretty smart guy, is just inhumanely loyal. Which makes sense really because Edgeworth is kind of a really shitty friend and any reasonable person would tell him where he could stick it after the first time he decides to cut off pretty much all contact and spend a year in Europe.
Er drifting point there sorry. What I'm getting at is that Edgeworth hangs out with his fair share of morons, and Snow has demonstrated, at worst, a Gumshoe-level of idiocy, and it's not really until around Larry-level that Edgeworth starts getting "GO AWAY".
There's also the factor of my chosen canon point of right after the first game, where Edgeworth has recently come to see that pretty much the entire past 15 years of his life has been Wrong, and is consequently trying to figure a lot of things out. Like "how to socialize like a normal person". And Snow, in all his relaxed, dudely glory is a lot more of a normal person than stuffy, awkward Edgeworth. So there's an aspect of case study mixed up in it, too.
And, of course, the whole Franziska thing.
...This. Kind of turned out more of CR post material than anything, durrrrr. *Copies down for future reference*

I didn't really think you were being OOC, I just didn't understand the mental processes that would allow it to be IC. Now I do. :Db
