weekend
i promised more of an update and here it is:
i left work early on friday, took a half day and left at like 12:30 and it was so nice. went right to south station and got on a bus and slept the whole way home. got to my house and steve, carol, gwen, kael, klara, gail, and logan were there. i was so excited to see them since they surprised everyone by coming for the party. hung out with the family for a little bit then went to the graduation ceremony.
the ceremony was interesting to say the least. it was the first time i have been back to westfield high school since i graduated. i didn't really miss it. went back in the gym and felt like i was at an assembly. realized that like half of my sisters graduating class has older siblings who graduated with me. felt like i was back in high school again. some people it was nice to see. others were awkward. some i had forgotten about. some i had really never cared if i ever saw them again. it was really hot in the gym, damn whs and its lack of air conditioning. my butt hurt from sitting on the bleachers for 2.5 hours. but the ceremony was nice, i got a little sentimental, i was so proud of molly.
afterwards we went back to the house and spent some more time with the colorado relatives. then i went to bed. i always forget how much i miss my bed at home, its so soft and cozy.
saturday morning i got up kind of early and went and ran a few errands. then i went to emily's graduation party with my family. i saw katie who i haven't seen in forever. it was kind of sad because we really haven't kept in touch at all since i went away to school and she went to texas and everything. but it was nice to see her. i ate a lot. then i went to kc's grad party. she's going to northeastern next year and i'm excited! i ate some more. i left the party a little early to drive to sketchy springfield and pick up phil and kyle. i was so happy that they came to western mass for the weekend (even though it kind of sucks). we went back to my house and spent some time with the family, then went over to the stacy's for jess's grad party. we ate more. i saw some people that i haven't seen in forever, which was nice. then we went back to my house and just hung out. brett came over for a little bit. we were tired and went to bed kind of early.
sunday we got up and i had to run a few more errands and i took phil and kyle to big y and they were intrigued. then it was time for mojo's grad party and it was really fun. there were so many people there that i haven't seen in a while, i got to see a lot of my family and friends that i really missed. i was wicked sad because the wheelchair van company is a bunch of assholes and don't care about the people who depend on them to be with their families for important events. my grampa couldn't come to the party and i wanted to cry. and i didn't get a chance to see him at all this weekend which i feel super guilty and really sad about. but other than that it was a fun party. i ate a lot (notice how this was the recurring theme of the weekend). i went on the trampoline with phil and kyle and phil ripped his pants and i laughed. we tried to watch tv but instead we fell asleep on the couch. then we took the bus back last night and a cab back to northeastern and i was tired so i went right to sleep.
work sucked today. only 14 more days left. but that is really 14 days too many. and i have to give a presentation tomorrow at work and i'm freaking out. so it is not fun. but i hung out with my roommates tonight and we watched a movie and alicia cooked dinner. so that was nice.
and i am really homesick.
