I finally made it out to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, this year. Given that I lived in the Albany area for the first half a dozen or so years it was held, you would think I would have made it before now, but no. The weather was less than ideal, but we had a blast nonetheless. My youngest was vehemently opposed to the idea, and fought me relentlessly about spending the day there, but toward the end of the day, he admitted to having had fun. I had been thinking finances precluded attending, but in the end, I managed to rationalize the expense to myself, provided we limited ourselves to just one day.
While there, the boys and I got henna'ed for the first time for any of us. I had my sweetie take photos of the work as it was being done, and they are up on my web site:

I'm quite happy with how it came out, and would like for it to last as long as possible. I rather wish I had snagged a business card or something from the artist.
We spent far too much money, but S and I enjoyed ourselves so much, we are hoping we can make it for the whole festival, next year.
