Dude, what is up with Keith Foulke??? He can't close a game if it were to save his life. 5 runs in the 9th? on top of allowing 2 inherited runners to score in the 8th? An ERA of over 6? I understand he was getting squeezed a bit by the umpire, but come on. TRADE HIM. But at this point what would you get for him? A scrub reliever and a box of baseballs would be too much.
On another note, when did Manny learn how to throw? Do you realize that if Bellhorn had managed to squeeze that ball and make the tag a second last night, it would have been Manny's 11th outfield assist? Even still, his 10 lead the AL, three behind the likes of Ichiro and Vernon Wells, et al. Crazy.
Lastly, what's goin on with Bellhorn at second base? Two nights in a row he makes a costly mistake. On the aforementioned play, the throw into second was in plenty of time to get the runner. That would have changed the complexion of the whole inning. Instead of the tying run at 2nd with 1 out, you would have had 2 outs with nobody on and still be up by a run. Instead the next hitter drives in the run and, well, you know what happened from there. *groan*
