bored at home
I'm sittin' here.
Bored at home. As usual.
The doc cleared me to do whatever's comfortable, so i can start playing soccer now. That's a whole half month ahead of schedule. So, yay BFQs!
My concert is in a few days in Robinson Hall. 8 PM. Its only $3 for students.
I'm really excited about it, the combo is playing some stuff that I never would have expected this group to play, but its working out well. We're playing a Minor blues tune called "Stolen Moments" which I really enjoy, a fun little tune called Moon River, an almost Rock-ish version of Paper Moon, and also a really sweet ballad.
Its been different only playing guitar with a group once a week, as opposed to almost every day last semester, so I am seriously missing having people to play with. The deeper I get into music, the more I want someone to play with. Argh, its frustrating, honestly.
There's this big hurdle to overcome, and its the fact that if the people who want to jam don't follow the same vision I do, I get frustrated. I wonder if there's a group of people out there with the same musical tastes as me.
Funny thing is, its not ness. Jazz I want to play. Its rock. I want to rock out like crazy. I have this building desire to be in a cover band, just so I can play everyone's favorite songs at a party and people will have a good time.

Mostly, this post is one of those, "I want to be doing something right now, and all my friends are, but I am at home." type of write ups. I've already called Jenn, but she's out having fun, so whatevs.
Speaking of Jenn, she's coming down for my concert! How awesome is that!? She's coming down just for the night to see me play, even though we're going to spend the entire next weekend together in the mountains.
:-) That's going to be fun.
Oh, the wine's kicking in now.
I'm going to practice more guitar and then head to bed.
