Oh, it's here! And when I shake the box and read the label, I realize it is Just What I Wanted! And damn, I have to go to work, so I will marinate all day in the spices of Deferred Gratification, all the better to enjoy this story. (Okay, I did peek under the wrapping and read the first few paragraphs, so I KNOW it's going to be good...)

I love this story! It's so perfect that Joe has found another soldier like himself and now he can return what Ian did for him. Loved the texts between him and Methos too.

This is a lovely thing. It doesn't pull the punches, showing enough of that bitter reality to make the reader feel it, even if not quite as viscerally as Joe does. And there is hope and strength and courage all the way through.

And the text messages are wonderful.
