This was such a fascinating tale. I loved the way you weaved the past and present together, telling the story in pieces that made the whole. Very sad and poignant.

!!!! This is amazing, and I want to point out every single moment that is just perfect, but there are far too many. I love all of your characterization, and Rebecca and Methos warm my cold, cold heart. I love the back and forth between the chronicles and the present. The detail is really spectacular, especially with dating and the note about translation (because I am a huge dork like that). And Joe! How can you not love Joe, caught in the middle, doing what he can for his friends?

It's got that perfect blend of serious and humor from the very beginning, so many great moments, and Leofwine, my new favorite Watcher. And the line "Medieval Kool-Aid." Seriously awesome.

In short, it has got everything I could want, and this is the best present ever, so thank you <3!!
