yes, it's a fun thing to crossover those two shows. tricky, but fun.

Nicely done! Ziva, in canon, is someone who would believe the evidence of her senses. And it's both uplifting and a bit sad to see Joe back in his role as Watcher, not interfering, not helping, just Watching from a respectful distance as Lee mourns the loss of her daughter.

yeah, she's seen folks who were supposed to be dead, and folks who had a nearly-fatal experience...but never someone who'd really truly survived death.

yeah, my Joe muse objected to the original form - said that he'd offer a shoulder to cry on, even if she does recognize him from when she was an Army nurse in Vietnam...hence this compromise.

This is a really interesting matchup. I'd love to see more of Ziva versus Joe versus the Watchers. I can see her looking up Joe's background on her own and going "...hmmm...I smell a mouse."
