ADMIN: Guessing post, notices.

Dec 13, 2008 00:17

Hi there! I hope you're enjoying the fest so far, and we aren't halfway there! Just a few notices and all that before posting resumes today.

1. Today is dedicated to only one story, because it is 5 posts long, and approximately 60 ages. I felt that it was unfair to all authors to post anything else, mostly because of the time it would take to read. I want to give you all a chance to go through it, and also felt that it might engulf any smaller stories that went up against it, so to speak. It is slash, and so gen readers, I apologize that there is nothing new for you today. Perhaps you can go through our already posted stories to see if there is anything you missed. All stories so far are recapped under the following cut.

DAY ONE:
1. Better than ribbons for carenejeans/Carene (slash)
2. Shadow of the Valley for keerawa (gen)
3. Time and Again for lferion (slash)

DAY TWO:
1. Ups and Downs for rodlox/Keenir (gen)
2. Sastrugi for dswdiane/Diane (slash)
3. A Tale of Diamonds and Drawers for ishafel (gen)

DAY THREE:
1. Rising to the Challenge for banbury (slash)
2. Chivalry Isn't Dead for mackiedockie (gen)
3. the fire-breather for silvercobwebs (gen)

I am trying to make an even mix of gen and slash-two slash and one gen, two gen and one slash (though today I realized that one story was actually gen when I had labeled it slash. My bad), but the mix isn't quite even. As the last three stories have come in all slash, that makes us 19 vs. 13, which means that eventually one day will be all slash.

2. Please use this post as your first guessing post! Below is a list of all authors who have stories submitted in the fest. As usual, I will be compiling some end game stats, so feel free to go wild:

3. Is the speed working for everyone? I think last year I did six stories a day over a shorter period, but to be honest, it was a little trying, and I thought a more leisurely pace might make reading and reviewing easier.

4. LASTLY, PLEASE REVIEW. I know some people are waiting for the reveals, but really, if you read a story and you liked it, please leave a comment. I know from experience that it can make an author's day, even if they are still anonymous!

Thanks for making this fest so much fun, and I hope that everyone is having a good time. Please use the comments of this post to guess or comment should you have concerns/requests about the speed of posting.

Love, Tyra Amand-r
