Yes, I am still alive...
...in case you were all wondering, whatever happened to good ol' H? Rest assured dear friends, I am still here. Just too busy to post my inconsequential ramblings and rants for an audience who is equally preoccupied. But what the hey, today might be as good a day as any to post! I've got immediate class planning to a good spot. As for my unit planning... well, let's just not talk about that right now. I have some ideas, the essential pre-planning done, and my supervisor keeps saying I'm making good progress... so that's good enough for me I guess. Even if I don't believe him.
My midterm evaluation is tomorrow with him anyway... we can talk more about it then. So far my evals are ok. Not really too much to go on just yet, since I'm not fully in charge of all the planning and teaching yet. But of what I have done, my teacher is fairly confident I will do a good job. I feel the same way. I know that the more I'm in charge, the more comfortable I'll be with everything, and the more energetic and enthusiastic I'll appear too. Right now, anxiety still has the tendency to take over.
Eh, but that's life. I'll do fine, as always.
In other news, looking forward to the Gleasons' Halloween bash in two weeks. So happy I'll finally get to show off S, and so happy he's really going this time! We worked on his costume this weekend. Now I need to work on mine- which is actually what I'm heading off to do in a few minutes, before heading to Dan's to watch Heroes tonight.
I have some ideas what to be, but I have to find the right get-up... Why did they have to make it a horror movie theme?! Forcing us to be all creative and stuff... grr!
So obviously, S and I are still going strong. This Saturday is that unholiest of all retail invented holidays-- Sweetest Day. (Hear the groans of men all over the state?) However, I think we're always sweet to each other, so I won't make a big deal of it. So long as he keeps treating me well!
And Friday, The Prestige comes out!!! Woohoo! I'm so excited to see that! Have been for over a month!!! Yippee! Planning to see it with S, Andy and the crew, perhaps at the nice Emagine theater in Canton? We'll see. (The crew very much likes the fact that this fancy theater sells alcohol.)
Hmm... anything else? Can't think of anything... except YAY! Detroit Tigers are in the World Series!!!! And YAY! Michigan is so far undefeated in Big Ten football! Happy days!
Ok, now, must go and see if I get inspired for costume ideas... ttfn!!!
