Harry Potter
Well, I was on the neoboards ealier talking to people about Harry Potter. Someone said that their mom came up with a theory about how it could end. It basically said that Harry Potter wakes up and the whole thing about him being a wizard and all was a dream.
Personally, I think that is really unoriginal. The whole "It was just a dream" thing (i think) is just a way that writers end a story when they can't think of anything or they just want to get it over with. A good writer actually comes up with something instead of resorting to this. The whole its a dream type of ending is boring. Everyone has read a story like this and its always in the back of their minds. It's always a possibility that a story will end like that and when a story does, the reader doesn't get any satisfaction from it. However, with an ending from the writer's mind its always original and nobody knows what's going to happen.
Personally, I hope that JK Rowling doesn't end the series this way. It would be really disappointing (to me at least). If you want to read my theory about how the book will end, I'm pretty sure it's somewhere on my journal. You can look back through the entries if you'd like. I'll retype it sometime later, though. Just not right now since its nearly midnight and I don't really feel like it.
Okay, now I can talk about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. (SPOILER WARNING!) I'm surprised at the really low ratings it got in Entertainment Weekly Magazine. It got a d+ and I thought it was way better than that. It had a great plot and the actors/actresses were great. It was hilarious. People say that the end stunk, but it had to be that way. They can't end any stories or there would be no need for a third movie. I personally cannot wait until the third movie comes out. (it was supposedly supposed to be around christmas, but they're behind on filming so its release date was pushed back). Still, I hope Will forgives Elizabeth and they can finally get married and stay together. I think Jack is alive somehow or if he is dead, then the voodoo lady and the rest of them can get him back and he will be alive in the end. We'll learn more about Davey Jones and he will perish. Will will be reunited with his father before his father dies or goes away somewhere. (maybe the changes will be reversed and his father will be able to live? doubt it though but it would be a happy moment for will). Yes, those are my hopes and predictions for movie three.
