What fun things I'll get to do in school tomorrow

I have to say, I love physiology class, but the exams are just nasty. The past few weeks have been some intense respiratory physiology lectures. Well, tomorrow, we get to put our knowledge to practice on a 32,000 dollar model patient. His name is SIM-MAN. We're going to be able to take his pulse, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. We can even intubate him, give him injections, etc. If too many people gather round, he gets nervous and his heart rate goes up. In fact, he's going to have an asthma attack for us, and we're going to have to figure out what to do to keep him alive. You couldn't pay a real patient $32,000 to let us do that to him. I've been reading up all afternoon and evening on pulmonary physiology and asthma, because it'd be honestly horrible if I killed the fake patient. I'm really nervous about that. I don't think I'd get kicked out of med school, but I'm certain that I'd be considering going back to pure public health with no clinical interaction if that happens.
