I wish that I had learned stuff in undergrad

I made a promise way back when that I wouldn't gripe about medical school: its workload and other ridiculousness. I knew what I was getting into, and I worked hard to get here. As a result, I don't really have the right to complain. I've gotten what I asked for. I've broken that promise to myself in the past, but mostly in relevance to the stench of the cadavers. Now, I'm legitimizing the rant I'm about to make because it could be perceived to be a rant on medical school material when in reality it is about my lack of attention as an undergrad. The rant, as promised:

Back in the day, I had to learn about lots of physics stuff for the MCAT. And I thought, lo and behold, that after I finished the MCAT in August 2004 I'd never have to deal with that physics crap ever again.

Well, if it's not 2.5 years later, and tonight I spent several hours in the library trying to dredge up some form of recall on Ohm's Law, the Nernst Equation, capacitance, and electrical potential. Physics has relevance to nerve impulses and blood flow. As much as I utterly detested the electrical section in Physics II, I wish I had retained it.

Oh well, I think I'm up on it now. We'll see how the lecture treats me tomorrow.
