I hate dancing.

It came up tonight--the topic of dancing. I don't know what it is, but it seems like a lot of people I know just love going to clubs, wearing shiny, sparkling, and otherwise eye catching clothing, and getting out on the dance floor.

And every time I deny any desire to follow them onto the dance floor, there's endless amounts of attempted persuasion to join. However, I just can't do it. First of all, I don't typically like the dance music. I heard the "Chicken Noodle Soup" song for the first time tonight, and I honestly thought they were saying "Chicken Russo." I also don't have a sense of rhythm, and so I always just end up standing on the dance floor feeling absolutely stupid. It's not enjoyable.

Now, I will dance on certain occasions. It usually involves having a rather reckless mood, and a significant amount of alcohol. Such nights usually never end well.

I'm much more of a pub girl. I like bars and pubs, where you just chill with your friends, maybe play some pool, foosball, or the absolute best, a pub quiz. That's just me. Dancing in a meat-market atmosphere? Merci, mais non.
