I got deferred from Elon and did an extremely impromptu interview at Skidmore yesterday whilst driving home from Lake Placid.
Elon = bah, whatever, I thought I was getting rejected and so a deferral is good news. Woot. But now I have to go down to North Carolina for an audition. Bah humbug.
Skidmore= we were driving down the Northway and we passed Saratoga Springs, and my mom said, hey, I wanted you to do an interview there but dad didnt think you'd want to , and I said to hell with it and we just drove in and did an interview. Haha. I nailed it, except for the fact that she said that my transcript (namely the Ds in math) may pose a problem. However, i talked up that perseverance aspect and she seemed pretty impressed with everything else.
My BU app is due on Sunday and my NCArts app is due the 6th. I should work on those. Mr. Thomas wants me to apply ED I to Muhlenberg but I'm going to tell him no because I'm DEFINITELY not willing to commit to that school.
So there was the schpiel.
Lake Placid weather was icky, so I just worked at the Brown Dog most of the time. Christmas present to self - wages from there and being out of the house = awesome.
We did stay in a nice condo though. But i would so much rather be working than sitting around all day. I get antsy.
My super-nice co-worker, Stacy, got engaged Christmas eve. Her boyfriend Dave proposed with a ring that he designed and it's almost three carats... whew.
Anne Washburn is my lucky date for New Year's, but we have no plans as of yet. I need to find my cell phone.

new CD player because my old one I got when I was 8 and its a dinosaur. A lovable dinosaur, but still didnt work too well.
This was a year for sentimental presents, and my Christmas was pretty much perfect. Yay.
I think I'll go listen to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack again while filling out a common app for BU.
Boo-ya.
I love you all and I hope your holidays are either going well or will soon recover from not going well.
Hugs and hugs and Hugh Grant.
