Summary: Merlin has an unexpected encounter with an old friend of Gaius' who seems both older and younger than he should be and also curiously familiar.

This is my favourite story from my Myth and Magic series but is chronologically one of the later ones (the earlier ones involve a much younger Gaius and what happens after his first meeting with Methos). You can read the rest of Myth and Magic at AO3.
