Tucked back behind Diagon Alley, in a cleared out space near Knockturn, an odd assortment of carnival workers set to putting together the annual St. Patrick's Day Festival. Due to open at 11 o'clock Monday morning, the crew was cutting it close, barely putting on the finishing touches before the gates opened (to which very eager young children-

Lately though, Drew's priorities had shifted and that just wasn't because of the groupies. He didn't miss the random hook ups or the late nights, hanging around for a bit to catch up with the guys before heading back home to Jemma (on the nights that she couldn't make his gigs, of course, which wasn't very often).
Now he was making his way through the crowd, neck craned as reached the spot he'd promised Jemma they would meet.

When she finally caught sight of him in the crowd, she beamed, feeling the familiar relief of comfort she had whenever he was around.
How she could become so caught up in someone so fast, she had no idea.
"Merlin, if we weren't in public right now, I'd do terribly inappropriate things to you," she said by way of greeting as she caught up to him. "That was incredible-"
So, she might have had a thing for musicians- but she'd only ever discovered it when she saw Drew play for the very first time.

"Keep that in mind when we finally make it home," he told her, grinning.
He didn't understand how somebody could be so absolutely adorable, with her big green eyes, and incredibly sexy at the same time but somehow Jemma managed to pull it off and it drove him a little bit crazy.
"But right now how about we get some food. I'm starved-"

And she loved the way his lips felt against hers in that moment.
"As I am always starving, this sounds like a good plan," she said, grinning brightly. "What are you in the mood for?"

But all of that dissolved when he was playing and it was enough to keep him going every day.
"I heard there was a taco truck around here with killer soft shell steak tacos," he told her, pulling them both towards the food trucks and stands.
"Unless you wanted something else-"

She gripped at his hand, shaking her head.
"No- nope, that sounds perfect," she said. "I mean, I'm eating for three now, so bring it on, Kirke-"

Drew had been craving a steak taco (or five) since his bassist had brought on back before they'd gone on, enjoying his meal more than he'd seen anyone enjoy a meal before. There was no way he could pass that up.
"Is that a challenge, love?" he asked her, his eyebrows arching as he looked down at her.

She laughed sheepishly trying to ignore the picked beet ice cream she'd somehow pushed together the night before for a midnight snack.

"I'll accept your challenge but reject the notion that you could ever be disgusting," he told her, leading them both towards the line.

"But steak tacos are not only normal, they are delicious and I think I want ten-"

Drew felt like he hadn't eaten all day actually, even though he basically inhaled three slices of pizza before heading towards the stage earlier that afternoon. Running around on stage really worked up an appetite.
"What were you eating last night, by the way? The sink was a weird shade of purple-"
Reply
"Erm- well, I had this inkling for beets last night-" she admitted, sparing him a glance as she frowned. "They were just calling to me-"
Reply
Beets of all things. How weird.
"Well, I'm glad steak tacos are calling to you now," he laughed, moving up a bit in line.

Nothing was worse than morning sickness with beets and vanilla bean ice cream. She grimaced at the thought of it.
"Because they sound and smell delicious and I want them all," she grinned.

The couple in front of them paid and Drew ordered twenty steak tacos, the man in the truck a little shocked at the large order but took their money never the less.
"You think he realizes these are just for us?" he asked, pulling Jemma over towards the second window were they waited for their food order.
