It seems the reign of the Burning Man is over, the fear we have been facing these past few months is no longer haunting us. Yes, readers, it has ended- but not without one hell of a bang.
Following the gruesome image set up in Hogsmeade village, we were all concerned to see where the Burning Man was headed next. Ministry officials had been tight-lipped at what they had discovered at the scene but that didn't stop the townspeople from talking. Word spread quickly- chatter of a squib attack, or worse- Muggles infiltrating our secret world.
But that had been laughed off, the rumors quickly dying. How in Merlin's beard could a Muggle inflict so much pain?
It seems that we have underestimated our non-magical friends.
It was not just one monster waging war against our kind- it was a whole group. According to my sources at the Ministry, an ancient Muggle group called The Staff of Aaron has been secretly watching us for centuries, taking notes of our ways, infiltrating our people and pretending to be like us.
The details of the night are still unclear, the Prophet only gaining some access to the burn ward at St. Mungo's Hospital. Victims Daphne Greengrass and Pansy Parkinson are still under critical care, both in very deep comas and whether they will wake has remained to be seen.
News of Auror Harry Potter's suspension had hit the media but never did I imagine that the Boy-Who-Lived would once again save us. Whether or not he had his badge, we never would have seen The Staff of Aaron sent into Azkaban without him- Auror Head Kingsley Shacklebolt should take note.
