here's my list of my 7 current favorite songs as per courtney's request:
1 - alice childress, ben folds five. with all the awful, awful things that have been happening in our world recently, i have found solace in the line, "alice, the world is full of ugly things that you can't change. pretend it's not that way -- that's my idea of faith." i don't know why i respond to that so much, but i do.
2 - on the radio, regina spektor. peppy. fun. not overdone on wber yet.
3 - knot comes loose, my morning jacket. this is one of those songs i'd listened to about a million times, but never listened closely to until recently.
4 - happy ending, mika. jack and i are in a big mika phase right now, and not just because he's absolutely adorable-looking. he can sing too!
5 - give it to me, timbaland, nelly furtado, JT. i can't help it... everytime this song comes on in the car, i feel compelled to yell out THIS IS MY JAM!
6 - she doesn't get it, the format. i ADORE this song. i was tempted to go see them open for guster just to hear them play this, but then i remembered that i don't like guster.
7 - you know i'm no good, amy winehouse. again, i can't help myself. she is AWESOME.
