a little update
the last few weeks have been crazy in a wonderful way - work is busy, home is busy, lots of exciting things are coming up...
to debrief on recent happenings, i'll go back to last weekend.
friday night - dinner at dim sum with dee, john tucker must die (AWESOME) with dee and melissa
saturday - birthday shopping for mom, park ave fest with dee, rachel, and melissa, and then out on the town. surprisingly enough, we had a BLAST at lux lounge, the old toad, and soho (even though i never thought (and still don't really think) that place is my scene).
sunday - coffee with chris, made dinner for mom and dad, ice cream down at the beach, entourage with dee and the rock.
monday - work followed by a work red wings outing. an INCREDIBLE night - a ridiculously good game with a red wings grand slam in the bottom of the ninth when we were down 8-4, awesome catered food and open bar... all in all, very classy and fun.
tuesday - work and full legislature, followed by our monthly elmwood inn outing.
wednesday - work and book club over at my bff carol's. all the girls were great, we loved the book and chatted about it over a delicious dinner. afterwards, an excellent installment of deepa's and my favorite melodrama, project runway.
thursday - work and a meeting over at ronald mcdonald house. i'm really psyched to be getting involved in something so positive and rewarding. dinner with dad afterwards.
friday - here at work, daydreaming about heading up to the cottage with mom in a few hours.
on the horizon - seeing lornani, yulie, lipstick liz, k-man, cousin chris, and the rest of the gang at family fun next week, seeing lauren and our favorite place on earth very soon, seeing rent in the fall with all the book club boos... things are shaping up quite nicely.
one last thing - i hope laura's finger heals soon! she broke it while making a heroic game-winning catch during her softball game the other day.
