Let's update, shall we?

I am now at 5 semesters at UIC, and hopefully only 3 more to go. I just got an e mail from my chem lab TA which consisted of "Hi Alexandra Baluka. This is Yan. Sorry for late. You have B." So I assume that I got a B in chem lab. I would argue that, but I do not want that B to magically become a D. I am now done with Physics for life, which is leading me into a deep, dark depression. No more hot physics professors. CRY. TEAR. OH MY HEART.

Now past hott information

1). Lunch with EDIT--INDESCRIBABLE. OH MY GOD. First of all, I was nervous and ended up staying up until about 2:30 in the morning trying to find an appropriate "Physics professor appropriate" outfit. In the end, I concluded that it should not have taken as long as it did for me to pick out what I did. So anyway, I ended up waking up about 10 minutes before orgo lecture with Lauren calling me and I went and after lecture I had to run back to the room, change, shower, and then I had spanish and orgo discussion to sit through and daydream. So after class I went to EDIT's office and I went there and I was like WTF?! where is Ann???? and I was a baby and I couldn't wait there until she got there. So I waited outside for awhile and then I went back in and I heard talking in his office and I was like success, Ann is here, but no...it was Jaesung, my always happy, I don't know a word of English lab TA. So I waited outside his office and Ann finally came. As soon as she got there I was like holy shit, it is soooooooooooo obvious that we both went out of our way for this. Let me tell you, we were HOTT. So finally Jaesung leaves and we walked from his office all the way from SES to BSB. At first it was weird and Ann and me just kept looking at each other and smiling and hitting each other. But then he started talking and we ended up talking all the way from his office to BSB. We got there and we got the the DEAN'S room in BSB and sat down. I ended up sitting at the far end of the table and then Ann went for the far side and I was like SCORE! he is sitting between us and I shall attack. But NO he was like oh you sit here and he ended up sitting across from me. I gave Ann the look of death, let me tell you. But it turned out okay, since I got to stare at him across the table the entire time. WINK. He ended up getting up and Ann and me held back of screams of delight. He came back and we ordered blah blah blah. Now for the info that we got out of him. He is married. His wife is a professor of Slavic Languages at Northwestern. They met in college in Germany. In high school he was trying to decide between Physics and being a journalist. He has a brother. SCORE. His favorite music is jazz, Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Melissa Etheridge, classical, and the Barenaked Ladies (let me tell you, I tried my hardest to NOT take that literally). He goes to Germany every summer. He knows more languages than letters in my entire name (many not THAT many, but a lot). He travels a lot to tell others of his research. He plans on staying in the US, for awhile atleast. He is currently in Germany. Him and his wife just moved in a new house (AGAIN WITH THE WIFE. GAR). And that is about all I can remember. Let me tell you I will never forget November 30, 2004.

2. My field trip around Chicago this past Sunday. I worked at the Pavilion on Sunday for a CPS basketball tournament. It was loaded with college recruiters and metal detectors. AY. So I got off at 4 and I try calling my mom and SURPRISE the phone is off the hook at my house. I keep calling and nothing..I called my neighbor, sister, and a bunch of other people, and again nothing. So I got a hold of Jose and he is at his apartment. So I go to his apartment, go with him to Jewel, borrow money from him, and then I take the L back to Union Station. I find my way to the South Concourse, and I am like shit, I better get my ticket beforehand. So I finally find my way to the Metra ticket counter and get a ticket. I get back to the track and I just missed the train. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. So I wait for about an hour and a half, and my mom calls and is like oh my god, were you trying to call and I was like NO SHIT FOR THE PAST 2.5 HOURS. I all ready bought my ticket and the train was about to leave in like 30 minutes so I told her that I would just get on it. So I got on it and it is getting ready to go and it lost power. So we sat there for like ten minutes in the dark with dumb bitches screaming and then it was finally fixed and we left. I had to get off at the Brookfield stop which is like a mile and a half from my house since the last train that I MISSED was the last one to stop at Congress Park, which is 4 blocks from my house. So my mom picked me up and I finally got home at 7:30. 4 HOURS!! 4 HOURS OF HELL. May I also mention that my jacket is being cleaned and all I had on was my white button down dress shirt, my black pants, and a sweatshirt. I can no longer feel my arms or legs, can you?
In conclusion. THANK YOU JOSE. I LOVE YOU. MARRY ME AND HAVE CHILDREN. And I will pay you back and pay for your med school.

3. Break is frustrating. I work almost everyday with my mom cleaning and I got gifts for my mom, dad, and sister finally. I am coming back on January 5th. Believe me, I am counting down the days. I am coming back for training, what a joke. This is my last semester being a part of the campus housing staff. THANK GOD. I will no longer be housing's bitch. Hell no. I also just got an e mail that Jeff Pate, my supervisor quit. THANK GOD, I HATED YOU AND STILL HATE YOU AND YOU CAN GO TO HELL. He is the reason why I hated being a part of housing and why I am not applying to be an RA. And the irony, he QUITS. He should have been FIRED.

4. Grades come out on this upcoming Monday. AY. I am expecting all B's. I do not like it how it gets harder every semester. And next semester will be way harder. 3 science classes at once. Holy crap. Although I do not have any labs, which means zero lab reports. Schedule for spring: HON401 (death and the afterlife), CHEM234, CHEM452, BIOS222, and CRJ101. Also, I perfected my schedule after much hassle and I do not have class on Fridays. OH YES. I have been waiting for that since I got to UIC. Also, I should be starting my lab job on the other side of campus in the Medical Builing in the Spring. I still haven't heard from them, but hopefully soon I will start.

That is all, until then have a nice break.
