So I splurged and got my hands on the nine volumes of the Hikago manga Perfect Edition that have been released so far. Of course, the new cover art is gorgeous. Also, the pages are larger and glossy, all the color pages are included, and there are some extra bonus tidbits. You're welcome! Ogata's was my favorite too. He puts on a fashionable front to cover up the fact that he's a go nerd, but at the same time, he doesn't even realize that he's THE quintessential go nerd? Hotta is awesome. XD

With Ogata being oblivious, I'm sure it's subconscious denial on his part. He's worked so hard to cultivate a cool image that he can't admit to himself that he's completely obsessed with go and only go.

Ogata's sketch and notes are in volume 6. XD Volume 7, I might note, has a chibi Ogata on the other side of the table of contents (and his title is The Prophet). The volumes are nice, and so worth getting. ^_^

Oh, oh, thank you so much for these translations! I'm planning to buy at least some books from this new edition and it's really nice to know that they contain such wonderful materials. They're very interesting for an epic characterization nerd like me. ^_^; Hikaru may not notice the value of that until he becomes an adult, though. - THIS FITS MY PERSONAL UNDERSTANDING OF HIKARU SO, SO MUCH. Oh, Hikaru. Thanks again!

Glad you like them! The new edition is really nice, so I do recommend it if you're thinking about buying a few volumes. And yes, Hikaru, you dense boy, you have no idea how lucky you are. :D
