Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that when I decided to take on a ficlet a day, I was doing it under full knowledge that there was a day in there where I was going to leave the house at 8am for work and rush straight to the bus station afterward to travel until midnight, therefore making writing impossible.
Today's writing was less impossible but unfortunately still did not actually get done. Instead there was much baking of cakes and also
bacon cookies, which are delicious! And then a viewing of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
OK, so people? In case you didn't know and you want to, let me tell you it: Dan Bern wrote 14 songs for this movie and acted as music consultant. If you do not know of Dan and my love for him, I fully plan on educating you later. :)
It's not the first time he's written songs for Jake Kasdan movies. He wrote a theme song for Zero Effect, the Ben Stiller/Bill Pullman movie that no one ever saw. The song sucked, though (as did the movie) and got taken out. Although the credits still end with Dan's song One Dance, which does not suck even a little bit, and is actually on an album (which is rare, when you think about it. Probably only one out of every thirty Dan Bern songs ever gets recorded.)
Anyway, this movie didn't suck AT ALL. And it had John C. Reilly and Jenna Fisher and Craig Robinson and Harold Ramis and Martin Starr and Kristen Wiig and Chris Parnell and Tim Meadows and Paul Rudd and Jack Black and Justin Long and Jason Schwartzman and Jonah Hill and omg everyone ever (except Leslie Mann)! My lungs actually ache from laughing. Frankie Muniz as Buddy Holly! I am dyyyying over here.
Anyone else go see it?
I think the people sitting behind me and my dad got annoyed with how much we were laughing.
Oh, also? PREVIEW FOR HAROLD AND KUMAR 2!!!!
