OK, did you watch it? How about the bonus features? The commentary on the bonus features?
I know everyone won't enjoy FoA as much as I do, and I know most people certainly won't watch it as obsessively as I do, but it's something that can't be topped for me. I like watching the show evolve during the first season, how Alton and the gang are just flying by the seat of their pants, with no idea what's coming and yet somehow they're gonna have to turn whatever does into a show. They didn't know if there was any authentic road food still out there in America, but gosh darn it, if there was, they were going to find it!
Feasting on Asphalt is pretty. It's real. It made me like the color yellow for the first time ever. It inspired the painting I got to give to the man himself. Even if you don't come away from FoA with the same kind of emotional attachment I have to it, I dare you not to tear up a bit during the ending montage. Not matter how many times I see it, I can't help but get choked up.
