School time

I have to start off by saying that my dorm room has more than exceeded my expectations! It is so spacious and perfect.  I feel like it is a lot bigger than my room at ASU.  Plus I have it all to myself.  Although I will admit that there were some serious advantages to having a roommate.  When Ant & I moved in last year, we went door-to-door together meeting everyone, we explored campus together, ate meals together, and it was nice having someone else to do all of that with.  But on the other hand, the pros of not having a roommate are going to vastly outweigh those minor cons.

I'm in Rogers Hall, which is an upperclassman dorm.  I figured it would be a good idea.  The single room is definitely a perk! I guess the problem with being surrounded by upperclassmen, is that most people aren't transfers like me, and have some kind of friend base already.  I, on the other hand, know very few people here.  Let's see who I can list.. Sarah Peckinpaugh, Justin Hanson, Caleb Forrest.. yeah, I think that's about it.

But you know what, I'm not going to be a baby and worry about that.  I've started fresh a million times, and the beginning is tough every single time.

In other news, Pullman seems like a pretty cool town.  The weather is certainly a lot better than on the coast.  This weekend is the National Lentil Festival in town.  Seems kinda corny, but the Palouse (this area of eastern Washington & Idaho) produces 1/3 of the nation's lentils.  I have to be honest, I don't think I would even know a lentil if I saw one, but it is kind of neat all the same.
