Gah... FFXI... I RARELY do posts about it on my LJ... but gah... people are just morons...
Call for help feature: Allows any nearby person to attack the monster your claiming... any EXP gain or item drops are compromised in the event of a call for help. Monster is no longer exclusive to that party. Any Area of effect attacks may hit people outside of said party.
Today... King Behemoth spawn... my group got claim. (King Behemoth spawn approximately once per 10 days, very good drops, very hard kill). Within the first 5 seconds, someone in my group called for help, and we lost claim. (Our group was composed of 30 people, of 120 in the area looking for the monster)
So yeah... I wasted a shitload of time, and I don't think the person that called for help will be repremanded by the LS leadership.
Me and a few others are thinking of breaking off and forming our own guild. Finally... I can make one that has logical rules...
On another note. I had a very enjoyable lunch with Drew today. I'll just leave it at that for now. But I look forward to visiting her sometime soon ^^
