Batman and Robin

I think I got this from brown_bettyinvisionary, but I'm not positive, and apparently I don't have the wherewithall to actually go search my friends list.

Still.

Frank Miller is writing a new Batman book, and I-Mockery.com has an article up about it... and if their article is even one-tenth accurate regarding the book, it is so bad it is good. Go read the article. It's

recs, recs-humor, fandom-dc, recs-comics, fandom

AH HA!

It was you. I just assumed Betty because about 90% of my DC Comics stuff comes from her. =)

Shall fix.

And, yeah, it's insanely funny. I mean, "I'm the goddamn Batman?" He's writing Batman as a cross between Wolverine and Frank Miller's own ego. It's ridiculous.

Oh god. It really is that bad. Comics fandom is torn between hysterical laughing and mailing Miller bags of dog doo.

And then there's the fanboys who insist it's an unappreciated work of genius. There's a theory that Miller's trying to see how ass he can make it before someone tells him he's officially lost his mind.

Here's some supplemental material. Make sure you read the script, it's the best part.

It's the "Okay, Jim, I'm shameless. Let's go with an ASS SHOT. Panties detailed. Balloons from above.[...] Nothing vulgar." that gets me.

Is that... I mean, is that real? What was really written?

What are the chances Jim Lee just up and decides, "Frank, you're on crack. Not in a good way. I'm outta here."
