Reboot

A sad event occurred for me today. I finally finished all the episodes of Reboot.
The short post I was going to make actually turned into quite a long essay on the programme, so it's hidden here. There are spoilers, but they're safely marked. ( Read more... )

I've never seen the show, but I've listened to Miki enthusing about it a few times. =:o} Thanks for the beginner's tour.

I have five DVDs, four for season three, and one for season four. The last one seems to end on a cliff-hanger of sorts. I try to keep an eye out for DVDs of seasons one and two....

Ooh. Where did you get them?

Looking at those screen shots --- which may or may not have been high-res rerenders --- it was painfully obvious how bad my copies are; there's lots of fine texture visible in the backgrounds that is just totally invisible on my sub-VHS-quality version. I'd love to have something better...

I got them all, at various times, from DC-DVD.co.uk (who're definitely NOT the cheapest, but were able to provide). Unfortunately the first four are now long out of print, so your best chance for them is probably somewhere like eBay. I've found that with specialist/minority interest DVDs you can't afford to wait. See them and want them? Buy them then and there.

Seasons one and two are out --- somewhere --- and I've just discovered that apparently seasons 3 and 4 are available on CinemaNow, but I can't see them, possibly because I'm in the UK.
