Ron and Harry returned safely, and I'm so pleased. Ron was hit by a nasty hex, but he's going to be fine. Madam Pomfrey says it probably won't even leave a scar but even if it does, well...he did ask if I would still fancy him with a scar. I'm amazed that he had to ask! I wouldn't change the way I feel about him if he was covered with them.
Not going was one of the hardest things, but I had to be on hand in the control tower to advise if things went wrong with the floosticks. As it was, however, they worked really well during the rescue. I am not sure I'm entirely happy with their nickname; but I suppose once the war is over Ron and I can patent it with whatever name we like. The Granger-Weasley Portable Communication Device. Hm. That's a bit of a mouthful...
Mobile Floo-com? Portafloo?
I'll think of something.
Professor Snape actually believes that my potion could be developed to help fight Voldemort. The amendments he's calculated make absolute sense to me - turning something that would have looked like a whimsical idea into a substance with real power. And to think that I never would have dared to have shown my notes to him if I hadn't been in extremis from overwork!
Anyway, he's going to discuss the potion with the rest of the Order soon, which is a bit nervewracking, but I'm so pleased to have discovered two things which could really help...
Time for a few tweaks.
Locked to the Order.
When you have time, would you please comment to answer a few questions regarding the use of the floosticks?
Did everyone find that they had enough modified floo powder during the last operation?
Were there any instances where the flame failed?
Did every call you made get through to the right person(s)?
Any other remarks about the floosticks?
Thanks.
H J Granger.
